Hey folks, Am wondering if we can make a list of some of the more common car audio web sites for references. For the sake of simplicity, the Mfg., their web link to main site is probably a good start. Would like it in alphabetical order for ease of use too. Examples: Adire Audio: http://www.adireaudio.com/ Alpine Audio: http://www.alpine-usa.com/ Audiobahn: http://www.audiobahninc.com/ Yes, this will be a long list and we may need several guys with good data bases on such things to pull it all togther. Then someone to collate, organize and install into the site as they come in. Imagine how much easier this will be to find products, specs and other important info. Comments, Swez THINK PS My computer has been a bit flakey of late, so I really don't want to be the collection point for now. Will help assemble the list and collate it, but need some additional help to collect site data. Replies (11) asplundher on 05/26/2005 19:54:50 I, myself would like to see more sources of decent with better than average price dealers, etailers, etc. With so many sites out there, it's hard to know which one is trustworthy. swez on 05/26/2005 21:40:24 That's not a bad idea Ash. Some will bawk at that one due to lack of warranties and selling non-authorized products. This is a real problem and if we do such a thing, a disclaimer will probably need to be included for such a listing. Comments anyone? Swez Buickman94 on 05/27/2005 01:33:18 i dont know if you recall Swez, but this was already done at CAK. heres the link: http://p205.ezboard.com/fcaraudioknowledgefrm7.showMessage?topicID=52.topic some need to be updated, i know the adire site is one of them but the rest that i tried worked fine Victor on 05/27/2005 05:45:28 http://dirs.org/dir-wiki.cfm/Top/Shopping/Vehicles/Parts_and_Accessories/Electronics/Audio http://dirs.org/dir-wiki.cfm/Top/Recreation/Audio/Do-it-Yourself/Loudspeakers http://audionova.nu/Innehall/drivers.htm http://audionova.nu/innehall/car_audio_manufacturers.htm http://audionova.nu/innehall/audionova_softwares.htm http://www.audionova.nu/Innehall/car_audio_diy.htm These links hopefully covers all of it.. I. Car Audio Product Links II. Materials and Fabrication Links III. Unique Fabrication Links You get the idea... Swez asplundher on 05/29/2005 11:52:47 Yeah, that would be great! My next project may have some fiberglass work included and finding particular items is becoming a bit of a task. palmquist on 05/29/2005 18:36:23 i found all my fiberglassing needs at a local autobody store... not anything like pepboys or autozone, though they mite have it (doubtful, but i never checked), somewhere that is a specialty store.... and if you cant find a store like taht, u mite want to check out a boat store... u can get bigger quantities, same quality, for a lot cheaper... as for anything else u cant find just tell us.... one thing i do have a question on... ive always just made my mdf rings for my enclosures.. but do u kno of newhere that makes perfect ones.... mine always come out a lil uneven Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
