Which direction to go?

What direction do you think I should go with these options ... I have a Memphis 16-MC500D amp and am trying to decide between these two subs ... Memphis MC124D or JL 12W3v2 (2+2) ... which one should I go with? Any other suggestions are welcome as I am not 100% set on either of the subs ... also ... should I run one Memphis 16-MC500D amp a piece or should one amp be sufficient for both subs? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Later .... sneyeper

IMHO it would depend on what you want out of your system; SQ or SPL. A 500D amp and 2 W3V2 would produce great SQ, it would produce good bass, just not as much on the SPL side of the spectrum. The Memphis subs would produce good SQ also, but at lower volumes and would give you great SPL at higher volume, you may want to step up to the 1000D though for 2 of the Memphis subs. Your choice of equipment is good either way you decide to go, both JL and Memphis make excellent high quality equipment, it is all a matter of what you want out of your system.

I am wanting a good combination of SQ and SPL ... I was also thinking of maybe going to the 1000D ... I was actually just looking at that ... I guess I can just toss the 500 in the saturn and throw together something after I am finished with the TB ... whenever that will be ... haha

I feel the 500D would be perfect for the W3V2 JL's, it would give you great SQ and decent SPL. I run 2 W3V2 4ohm DVC's in a ported enclosure off a Diamond Audio D3600.1 and I hit 138.6 dB's and it hits nice when I turn it up. It is all a matter of personal preference IMO b/c we all have our favorite manufacturers.
