| Remote Turn onby mattelhart Front Page * FAQ Forum * Archive Index Prev :: NextAIght, hooking up and amp to a stock CD deck(2000 Blazer). Got the High-Low level converter set up behind the CD player just fine but now for the remote turn-on. Since there's no power antenna or place to hook the wire up to behind the deck, where would ya'll recommend hooking the remote wire to? Preferably not the battery and having it switched. Any fuse that's only hot when the cars running? Thanks in advance :) Replies (1) Swez on 03/24/2003 14:45:20 In your fuse box, there are ususally a few open lugs marked ACC/IGN that only give power when the key is in ACC or engine run positions. You can tap into that and run your REMote off that. If you tapped into a constant power supply feed line, the amp would be on 24/7 and probably kill your battery over night. This is a very low power connection and as such, a length of #16/18 power wire is fine. Use an inline fuse here as well. A 3 amp fuse is all that is needed. Good luck, Swez |
