well i have 2 amps running my system. one for the 2 12" subs and one for the inside speakers. i have a distribution block running power lines to the two amps. would i wire the capacitor from the battery to the distribution block, or would i wire it after the distribution block to the one amp running the subs?

This should give you a good heads up.

Actually, that is not the best diagram to use, according to DEI Direct Techs, and JL Audios Sound School of Excellence(which actaully has several test you can try which proves a capacitor has no beneficial use in a car audio system unless you have upgraded you alt.) States when running a 2 amp system, you should use one of the inputs in the distribution block to run a cap, most distribution blocks have 2 or 3 inputs for power wire, you run your main power into one and your power wire from the cap to the other, then ground the cap at least 6 in's away from any other grounds.

well i only have a 1-input/2-output distribution block and i'm running two amps already. so i guess have no choice but to hook it up after the distribution block, but before the amp to the subs if i were to to do it. i don't want to get another distribution block.
