JBL Professional DJ Subs

Not too long ago I bought a Dual 15" bandpass subwoofer from www.djaudiosuperstore.com. JBL makes it and the woofers in it are nice. According to the specs and from what i've heard from it so far it's 102 decibels effecient, which is really good considering you can put 2000 watts max into it. I was hoping that if any of you ever came across a place to buy just the raw speakers from JBL somewhere, I'd really appreciate it. I've looked, even at thier own website but not any of the model i'm looking for. I'm planning on putting 4 of these in whatever car i'm gonna have. This doesnt sound true at all, but I had the sub goin with prolly 250 watts max goin into it at the time, this was outside during a paintball game, you could hear the sub from 1/2 to a mile away... I'm not kidding. The model number for the woofer is JBL M115-8A, if any of you or someone you know can find these somewhere please help me.

Take a look at: www.partsexpress.com too. They sell JBL, Celestion and EV too.

JBL make a some great subs for Pro applications... have you ever looked at Electro Voice, Behmah, Emimence Pro Kilomax and several others.

If you plan on using them in your car...(quite common back in the 80s-early 90s) Plan on having space for a huge box. DJ speakers are funny about being in small boxes although there are newer ones. Its the main reason most people dont generally use them for car audio anymore.

MTX has a really good DJ audio product line. There are too many to list but I'd say check out local music stores that sell dj equipment/band gear if there are any. They usually always carry a line of raw woofers.

OK...

If you didnt find them heres the link to the component section...

To look for raw dj woofers you have to remember its a totally different audio scene. They call them Transducers.

All of the JBL Raw Transducers are on a parts list on their site where you can purchase them directly...

Click here to see the PDF list

and... CLICK HERE to purchase them with a credit card...

Your exact subwoofer model is $116 USD they have many others to choose from...and yes I do mean MANY....

Hope I helped you out in some way.

PS

I was in a DJ crew before I started my production company...and yes I have hooked up our subs in my old s-10 hehe...can you say BOOM!?!
