Does anybody know the easiest way to get access the battery in a 3 Series BMW? It is in the trunk somewhere but he doesnt want to tear apart his trunk looking for it.

sure do brotha. in an E46 (current 3 series body style), i'm pretty sure it's under the passenger side of the carpet in the trunk. just pull up the carpet and it should be right under there, just below the right brake light.
what kind of project is your friend working on??
