Ok, so i just got my new HU installed (Alpine CDA 9847) and im not really pleased. in fact, im kinda disappointed. First it took like 3 hours for them (Best Buy) to install it, after they told me it wouldnt take long at all, and then when i got in the car and drove home, i realized, it didnt sound very good at all. The bass was there and all, but it didnt sound good. When i had my last HU (Kenwood KDC-MP425) installed, the sound from the speakers was really crisp, clear, and clean. Now its none of that, at least past volume 2. Am i mistaken that there is a way to like cutt off bass to the speakers? Should they have done it? If theres a way, how can i do it? have I had bad luck in the Car Audio stuff or what? Replies (1) ryan2 on 04/7/2005 21:33:45 What speakers dont sound good? Sub, fronts, rears? And what speakers are they? DO they have their own crossover? This A;pine model is there lower end and only has BassEngine which doesnt come with a built in crossover.
