ive looked at every website i can find about wiring subs and this is the only one that says u can wire a sub series and parallel
is it not safe to or just not known very well?

you can wire a dual voice coil sub either way, it will not hurt anything... i think that is why they make dual vc subs, to help wiring issues...

Running a woofer in series/parallel is perfectly fine. Ive ran a set of woofers in that manner and no problems ever arose from it. No different than running a woofer in series, or parallel.

If you go to Basic Car Audio Electronics (www.bcae1.com), there are several diagrams for wiring subs in series/parallel, along w/ in depth descriptions. Just look in the side bar menu, there is a series/parallel basics, and an advanced. This is an excellent site to bookmark for anyhting dealing w/ car audio.
