Ok, some body stole my amp & subs. insurance is replacing it said i could choose any comparable items. Im looking at 2 12" kicker l5s. I would like to get a kicker amp too but I dont know which one is will make my system drop & push these subs. I dont know if I will end up with the 2 ohm or 4 ohm but I know I want them bridged to get the most bass from them. Kicker has a 1200 watt amp but its 1 ohm mono, could i use that? any advice & recommedations would be appreciated! Thanks!! http://www.kicker.com/05/05kicker.html

2 l5s will match the 1200.1 great. make sure you get the dual 4 ohm subs, so you can wire each sub at 2 ohms, and then parallel the two subs down to a 1 ohm load. i have no experience with the L5s but i do with the L7s, good subs but over priced.... if i was you i would look into a set of comp vrs. and a kx600.1 amp.... less power draw from the kx600 wont have to upgrade your electrical system... and will prolly net maybe 3-5db less bass power, prolly not even noticable.... figure out exactly what you want then we can help you choose which models to get, ohm wise and stuff like that... what type of music you like? how much space do you want to give up for a sub enclosure.. good luck

If i were you (even though its slightly more expensive but well worth the money) get a JBL B1200.1 or a JBL B600.1 (i use the 600 w/ 2 kicker CVR 12's 4 ohm at a 2 ohm load and it sounds REALLY good lotsa deep bass for rap/hip hop and sounds good for rock/metal)

I listen to reggae & r&b. With the 1200.1 would i have to upgrade my electrical?

most definately - if i were you id stick w/ a 600.1 (although the L5's will never reach their maximum wattage with the right enclosure they will sound even better than they should) id go w/ what Comp said - CVR's look just as nice (the new model) hit almost as hard at 600 watts as the L7 and generally are loads cheaper (i bought my set on ebay from Locust Audio for 119 + 50 shipping and he has a set of 12' CVRs 2 ohm 05 model for 119 currently)
