Mr B in Vegas

That's right, Ellie Maes. Mr Brownstone is in Vegas April 7-11 and he's taking over!

AAHHHHH! A city where almost nothing is illegal. You can have BBQ ribs and shrimp cocktail @ 3:30 am on a Wednesday, and then have Prime Rib for Breakfast at a good 11 places.

This trip is needed. I just finished #2 in my branch, my 6th #2 in 28 months, and only lost out on 1st place by a few bones in revenue. ACtually, I was #1 most of the month, but a guy wrote a big deal that's closing tomorrow. So unless it's doesn't close, I'll be #2

Ask Swez, he's been calling me a #2 for 5 years now. At any rate...

What to do in Vegas? Poker, BJ (black jack, not the other thing), Dine out, Outdoor pools (might be only in 70s), Redrock Mountain biking. Anybody got any ideas besides gambling? I might buy my car out there, and just drive it back if I do decent. Been meaning to replace my winter ride for months now.

PS I'll be going with some friends, but they're basically Canadian. They don't wear glasses, they empty them. Lil Al Cohol if you know what I mean.

its 4-5 hrs away from here, only been there once but it was a doozey. I joined a local rugby team about 3 yrs ago and had a now infamous and short lived rugby carrer(3 games and then tore my acl)....

We did have a game in vegas, although it wasn't pretty.. We hit the road around 5 in a 15 pass van, of course with a pony keg in the middle. It took 7 hrs as we had to stop and piss so many times. Truckstops, mcdonalds, sides of raods... Got to vegas around midnight and threw out stuff into our cheap motel. We went to a couple of casinos, hit a couple of clubs, next thing I know it is 7am and I am still drinking. I remembered that I had worked the day before, which meant I got up at 4:30 and had not slept since. I also remembered that the game was at 12, a short 5 hrs away. I left and caught a cab back, I really did not know where I was.

Half the team was at the club when I left, they did not show up at the field till about 15 min to game time. Enough time to puke twice, stretch once and hit them as hard as we could...

WE PUKED ALL OVER THAT FIELD.................

AHH, the good old days.

Let me know if ya want to do some biking. I can bring my jekyll up and show ya how to ride....

Hoover Dam and Lake Mead are neat places to see as is the desert at sunrise & sunset. If you don't mind the drive, Flagstaff, AZ and the Grand Canyon are pretty cool too.

I can just picture you and ttocs drinkin, singin and having a puke party after 2 days. Almost sounds like a great time in the mix. Have a good time! Party!!!

A little biking? I would love to do that. Just where to rent a bike? Any ideas? I have a 26" 1/2 & 1/2 bike (mountain width tires with less aggressive tread) but can't be flying it to Vegas from the Minnie apple.

Yeah, Swez. The singing part? Are you sure Vegas has enough room for 1 more Elvis?

Thankya........Thankya very much!

SCOTT

Get ahold of me @ brianbanish@excite.com when you get a chance. Thurs 7am I arrive in Vegas on Apr 7. Red rock was on my itinerary, but I wasn't sure if I was in good enough shape to take any REAL biking. Here in Minnestrota, winter is tough and I only bike in the summer...normally.

Actually, the past 3 days have been good so I've been putting on some miles. I won't be in Olympic shape til I've had 8 or 9 beers. After that, I should be invincible .

:-P

Whoa man, I'm going to Vegas April 8th to the 15th...21st birthday present (that was in February) So I could use some suggestions as to what to do out there too. BTW Mr. B, where you staying out there?

I have a camera phone, but don't own a digi-camera.

Staying @ Imperial Palace. Middle of the strip, center of the action.

Wow! 21!?!? Boy, are you in for a treat. We could start with:

1. Casinos (recommend some lesser known ones with better games
2. Dining- some awesome places
3. Drinks- If you pay for 1 drink while in Vegas, You didn't go with me
4. Shows- 1/2 price or 2 for 1s on most all...some free
5. Clubs- I'm not much of a clubber, however free cover on many
6. Poker- Don't play me, I'll kick your arse
7. Poker- See #6
8. Attractions- Natural or man made?
9. Strippers- There are too many to see in just 6 days :-)
10. Attractions, I was not talking about #9

At any rate, email me so you can have contact information. After Tuesday next week, I will NOT likely be available much..and finding me is a little difficult.

Ask Swez, I have a way of disappearing. I'm an expert on disappearing. I taught Claudia Schiffer how to make a sausage disappear WAY before Copperfield did.

:-)

unfortunately, it won't allow me to post as MrBrownstone or Brownstone, or I'd have said:

Ahhh...Mr B Has darker hair, and a buck knife on his belt loop.

You might also want to have a picture of him with his Elvis Garb on. :-)

That looks like Mr. B having a very bad hair day! Maybe you can get it fixed while in Vegas....

Swez

MrBrownstone on 04/5/2005 17:31:07
Dude

I should have YOU fixed while in Vegas!

:-)

Cheerios! I'm Audi.

swez on 04/5/2005 18:03:49
That cracks me up.... Did you mean you fix me up in Vegas or have me "fixed" in Vegas?

If the former... go for it, I'm game to that.

In the latter... that part was taken care of years ago after having 2 children. Having 2 kiddletts was plenty enough for my Ex and me.

I'll tell ya what, having kids is a wonderful experience. However, the challenges become greater as they/we get older. The belt size gets bigger and the wallet gets thinner.

Well there Bubba-Louie.... have a great time and clean up that town. You may be the next guy to host "Beating Vegas".

Go to the well and grab a big one.
