i was wanting to know how your put 2 amps on 1 sub or 3 amp to 2 subs i know how to run 1 amp and 1-2-3-4 subs so on but how do u do 2 amp on 1 sub do you just put the ++ and -- togerther that don't sound good to me but it mite be right plese help me on this Replies (3) compvr15s on 03/27/2005 23:54:23 from what i hear this is a very precise procedure here, you take one amp and wire to one voice coil in a sub and then you take the exact same make and modeld and wire it to the other voice coil.. then you take a meter and make sure each voice coil has same power going to it, if not coils will not play together and will be damaged..or if you have an amp that is strappable then you can go that way, which takes the power from both amps and combines it... have never tried it, but i do have the options with my kicker kx600.1s. i dont think this is a smart idea either way you go., good luck BgDustin4 on 03/28/2005 00:12:35 nor do i thanks a lot swez on 03/28/2005 08:56:35 Comp VR is correct... it can be done just as he stated. Have to measure the voltage at each coil, off each amp and get a precise match. Yes, it can work, but better to use a more powerful MONO amp to power a single sub.
