In my old car I had dynamat Xtreme from the firewall to the back of the trunk and it really made a difference. I now have another car which is so quiet i dont really need all that anymore, I just installed an amp and i get raddles in my back panel and trunk area so i want to get the whole trunk done. Dynamat is expensive compared to similar products but I dont know if dynamat is superior and worth the extra money (ebay prices). If any one has a comment on any product similar to dynamat or just dynamat it self, please let me know your opinion. Honestly i'm a sound quality nut and i wouldnt pay the extra money for dynamat thats how little differnce there is... Both the 2 i mentioned above can be found online for around half the price of dynamat if not less.. Chronos ttocs on 03/26/2005 18:56:57 I have used brown bread and dynamat and found little difference other then cost. I put brown bread in my truck over a year ago and had no problems with it sticking through the phoenix summer. P0werLifter on 03/26/2005 23:22:23 I personally have used BrownBread and B-Quiet Extreme from the company that produces BrownBread, both of these work great for lower price than dynamat and last through the head of the california desert ( ttocs has me beat on temperature still i think 105+ degree's here). I also purchased the paint on E-Dead from elemental designs but im waiting for the temps to get higher in the summer b4 i add it. lessismorespl on 03/28/2005 20:32:49 B-Quiet Extreme and B-Quiet Ultimate are cheaper than Dynamat Extreme, and i think are actually somewhat better, especially in lower temps like where I'm from. fatmat is also good, you can buy it on eBay for $49.99 + S&H for 50 sq ft or $99.99 + S&H for 100 sq ft. considering Dynamat Extreme is $170-$240 for 36 sq ft, it is an excellent deal. I like the ED eDead V1 and V1SE, but the Fatmat and B-quiet are just slighly better quality. Fatmat also makes a thicker version called Rattletrap, it is about the same price as the B-Quiet Ultimate. All of these are much cheaper than Dynamat and work just as good if not better. I have used the Fatmat, eDead V1, and Dynamat Extreme, and as was mentioned earlier, the only difference is in the price. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
