1997 S10 Ext cab PU
Equip I currently have installed
Alpine 7893 HU
Infinity 4x6 plates in dash
MBquart DSD216 seperates in doors
Alpine bandpass 10" sub
rockford fasgate 180 powering sub

Equipment I own and am ready to install
AlpineMRV-F340 amp
Alpine SPX 177A 6.5 seperates
QLogic kickpanel enclosures

Now my questions Possible setups I am considering.
1 Leave MBqarts where they are. Install Alpine SPX 177A in the Qlogic enclosures. Power the four 6.5 with the Alpine 340 and power the 4x6 with the HU amp.
2 remove the MBqarts and install Alpine 177A in their place. Leave 4x6 in dash and power all four with the Alpine 340.
My question is which setup would work best in my truck. I have read that all you need is two good 6.5 speakers and possibly a fill in set (4x6 in dash) to have quality sound. I am open to all suggestions Thanks SMILE

If it were me, I'd move the MBs to the kickpanels, and put the alpines in the doors, then try the amp hooked up to all the different combos to see which setup sounded best to my ears.

Just a guess, but I would imagine the dash plates would be the weakest point, so I'd leave them out, and power the others with the Alpine 340.
