I have a Rockford bd1000 amp, Im sure all wires are hooked up, I even have a REM wire from HU to the amp but still doesnt come on. Replies (3) compvr15s on 03/15/2005 00:15:12 did you check all the fuses on the amp? just because they look good dont mean they are, use a test light.. also just make sure ground is to bare metal area and secured tight. does your power cable have inline fuse, make sure the connection is tight on that.. if that dont work may want to take a short piece of wire and connect the positive terminal and to the rem terminal, if amp turns on then bad connection between amp and HU... also make sure rcas are plugged into the right spot... if nothing changes more than likely the amp is a dud. good luck!! 2fastxd on 03/15/2005 07:46:20 Ok Thx, I went back and did the battery rem test, it turned on, so then i took my cd player out and looked at it and put another wire on it still didnt turn on, so there is like a small fuse thing or it looks like a clear long peice attached to the remote turn on, i cut it off then hooked the wires back up and the amp worked, the wire fuse wus the problem, jus hope its safe without the fuse on the blue wire, Thx USFLAG ttocs on 03/15/2005 12:50:22 the fuse is there for a reason. replace it and the fuse holder to ensure that it is protected properly....
