I have a question about a problem i am having with my car audio. I had installed an aftermarket headunit, JVC is the brand. Anyways it blew a fuse i replaced the fuse and checked all of the other fuses related. For some reason it still wont work and now my clock in my car wont work either but when i installed my factory headunit the stereo works but the clock still is broken. The problem with the factory headunit is that when i turn off the car it resets itself and i have to enter the code and reset all of my radio stations i have no idea why any of this is happining so if anyone has any help it would be greatly appreciated thanks Replies (2) xplicitblitzboi on 07/7/2003 18:37:48 check all your connections on the back of your HU, and then re-check your fuses. this happened to me when i was installing my first HU, and i ended up blowing a fuse multiple times, and melting my wiring harness. then i made the huge mistake of putting a bigger fuse in the spot. (30 amp in 10 amp slot) and I ended up frying everything. 2000 dollar little mistake there. Swez on 07/7/2003 20:54:06 Oh my... that's an awful story Blitz.. dang! You may have forgot to hook up your constant feed that hold memory on stations and such. It probably runs the clock as well. But check the fuses too. This line is probably fused and a small one at that. Check your car manual in the fuse section to tell you what fuse to look for. Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
