I am having some trouble with a 95 Ford Explorer. I used to own a 95 Escort so I am sort of familiar with the Ford wiring harness system. I am not familiar with the standard and premium system I have heard so much about. This vehicle does not have two long skinny connectors. One of them, the power, is the usual Ford lond skinny type. The speaker connection is a more square looking connector with 16 pins. I have the Scosche connector Part #FDK 10. I am wiring a Pioneer HU and the harnesses mate up perfectly. However I have no sound. Now I remember wiring my Escort and I remember having problems with Ford's common ground system. This hrns used for speaker wiring ahs the standard white, grey, green, and pruple connectors. It also has an extra one. One single black wire!! I cannot figure out why I have no sound or where to connect that extra cable. I tried tying into chassis and electrical ground and still nothing. PLEASE help !!
