I'm doing a full system install for my friend this weekend on his dodge stealth, not sure what year. I'm anticipating everything will go smooth and simple except the in-dash unit install, i'm not sure what to expect behind the stock radio. If it went the way i hope it would, there would be all the normal color coordinated wires back there, then all i have to do is connect them to the corresponding wire from the HU harness. I'm not sure if i should go ahead and buy a Chrysler / Dodge wiring harness or not? Does wal-mart have them, or maybe the tool shops like AutoZone or Pep Boys? The HU is a Pioneer DEH-15 cd/receiver. Thanks Replies (4) uochronos on 02/24/2005 14:33:26 always buy a wriing harness period its just plan good installing to use a harness. Autozone or any car audio shop should have a harness. i would worry about this being a premium system though if it has amps or EQ or anything already built in your on your way to a fun install so to speak. Chronos danielm87 on 02/24/2005 14:38:39 Okay thanks... Im headin to AutoZone today to get new spark plugs for my POS truck anyways. No it has a really crappy sound system in it currently, definitely not Premium, but hopefully it wont take more than an hour or two to get the whole system installed. UKinstaller on 02/24/2005 17:26:50 i think you'll need a pocket with that too, if it's what i remember. it should be an ISO mount, and if it is, you will probably need a pocket. -UK danielm87 on 02/24/2005 18:49:27 alright thanks for the help guys Daniel Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
