I am installing a alpine cd player cda-d852 in my 95 olds aurora. But I bought a wire harness and there is one more wire left. It is pink and black and called the audio interrupt lead in. What do i conect that in. Replies (4) ryan on 07/7/2003 14:24:18 If you dont have an amp you dont need to worry about it. That wire turns on ur amp, or if u have a power antenna who hook it up to that. It's been a while since I installed an Alpine HU, but I seem to remember that being designated for this application. Functionally it drops the volume down when an incoming call activates the lead, allowing you to hear the call. Then when the call is ended, the volume returns. xplicitblitzboi on 07/7/2003 18:35:34 yes tray, i believe you are correct, the wire that turns on your amp would be the remote lead. the problem that occurs in some newer vehicles is that the remote stays active after the car is turned off, thus your battery dies from the amp staying on while the car is off. ie: my dads grand prix gtp. after you turn off the car and take out the key, the radio will still play. ryan on 07/8/2003 00:06:12 i should of read a lil more closely Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
