You know,

Every manufacturer has some sort of crossover that solves a lot of problems. Basically, if you have the speakers installed correctly, the 'special' crossover doesn't do anything meaningful. CDT, Quart, ADS, and about 6 or so other mfrs have the same thing.

Basically, it's a marketing item for those that constantly want to mess around with their system.

MB quart speakers of years past were actually DESIGNED to be installed off-axis (crossfiring across the car) so their tweeters sounded a LOT harsh when installed facing the listeners. This type of crossover was/is used to combat the high efficiency of the tweeters used in that application.

Basically, it's a correction in a design flaw of a speaker system. There is no need to purchase this for your car/speakers unless you have an installation/design flaw.
