Hey PL, i understand you own a copy of Bass Box 6 Pro. I was wondering if you could please run some numbers for a sub/box/amp setup and copy the dB/Hz chart in a reply, if possible.

Are those dimensions external or internal dimensions? Are you doubling up the baffles is that why you say 1.5" thickness? or are you using 3/4" walls?

If those are external dimensions, your enclosure overall will be 9^ft and after displacements total internal net volume 7.5^ft and with the port dimensions will tune to 22hz.

sorry about that, each side is 1.5" thick, doubled up .75" all the way around.
the given dimensions are external.

Thanks for the chart

Why are you doubling up the walls to 1.5" thickness? Thats to Overkill unless your going to be running multiple woofers with very high wattage with little or no internal Bracing. Ive ran multiple woofer setups using .75"MDF with no problems at all, a single 15 shouldnt pose a problem, If anything the only section you would need to double up is the front baffle

By doubling up all the walls all your adding is weight and cost to you project. Just thought I'd give my 2cents

Yeah i agree, if i go forward with the Tumult HT project, i doubt i will double up all the walls, but ya never know. I've never had any flexing problems, with minimal bracing the 3/4" holds together nicely.

Now i'm looking at Eclipse subwoofers, particularly the SW9152.
I've done some looking around and Eclipse looks like a reputable and rare company....
Is that model comparable to a W7 ?
Is Eclipse worth the money? Any past or current owners?
315$ for the Eclipse looks a lot more appealing than 440$ for a 15" Brahma, if they are even in the same league.

umm why double up and not just buy thicker MDF? i assure you the sell it i currently have a 1" thick baord in my garage... and i'm 95% sure they sell it up to like 1.5inch thick.
