hi there everyone i'm having few concerns about my front stage imagening ... i got the : HU : Alpine cda-9807 front: alpine type r comp 6.5 amp: 5ch mrv-357 (50 rms x4 + 150 rms sub) sub: jbl bass tube ct-1200 - 250rms) the front speakers are in custom kickpanel .. but i feel that when the speakers at the foot rest place the tweeter is not that clear what i mean is more into mid bass than presenting the full image .. i found old tweeter : TWEETERS 40 MM. PIONEER TS-S250 250 WATTS MÁX rated: 50rms s/n: 97 db/w frequ range: 6.000 - 40.000 hz i used to have in my car befor but i'm willing to place in the front dash on the top so i can make a clear imagening ... so the 1st question is for the alpine 6.5 comp type r ... should i set the amp to off or hp filter ... because when i set it to hp the comps speacially the woofer doesnt move .. but when it's set to off it sounds cool ... from my knowledge it's should be setted to hp for 2-way midrange .. second question is : know what's the best way to connect the tweeter : 1. just take a wire from the amp with a wires for the alpine comps till the front ... 2. connect the tweeter with HU 3. connect the pioneer tweeters to the alpine tweeter .. so will be two tweeters comming out off the crossover .. plzz guide me for the best .. many thanks Replies (4) compvr15s on 02/20/2005 03:12:24 do your comps have a crossover with them? if so you should put your amp on full range. then set the crossover to 80-100 hz. then tune your sub part of the amp to 80hz and less, as for the other tweets you may want to try and find a set of pioneer crossovers, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18800&item=5752939279&rd=1 these are mbquart but will do the same thing, they will only allow high freqs into your tweet therefor they wont blow. you can run these off of your head unit, 25 watts will make them sound good. if you do have a crossover with your comps, there should be a switch to adjust your tweets -3,0,+3. try adjusting it up if the tweets sound low.this may help you a lil bit. wait for others to reply only_tuning on 02/21/2005 01:55:11 so what i should do know is : connect two tweeters ... in the output of the crossover ... and set the amp crossover to off and set the freq to the range of 80-100 hz.. and that's it .. right .. many thanks only_tuning on 02/23/2005 16:46:29 plz i need more detail explaination ,, sorry but u really need to understand it better and more clear thanks compvr15s on 02/23/2005 18:49:41 only run 1 set of tweets from ur crossover. if you run both you will lower the impedence that ur amp sees from the crossover, for the other set look for some in line crossovers(filters) and run from ur head unit. for the amp set to full rance and then tune it too the right freq for your mid bass\range woofer, the crossover will protect both the woofer and tweet from gettin too low of freqs, so id tune to 80 hz or so, and let ur subs take care of every thing below. enough info? have u tried the +1.5 option on the xover for the tweeters? may help a lil Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
