Hey this is another quick one. So my CDT 6.5'' components arrived today and So they came with a midbass, tweeter and crossover. My question is what gauge wire do I buy to connect the tweeter to the cross?
Also, do I put the wires from the HU into the cross where it says amp?

yep you got the idea... amp is where the input goes then the 2 sets of outs for tweeter and midbass.
as for guage wire 16 guage is more then enough off the HU to the components.. if you where amping them then maybe 14 guage but the HU is fine threw 16 guage maybe even 18 guage.

Any HU's I've ever seen had outputs that were 18 Gauge to start with. I never did see the point in running more than that to any speaker straight off the HU and not amped since the first 6 inches of wire are 18 AWG anyway. It's kinda like stepping on a hose running water. You only get the amount of water that the pinched part will let through.

the longer the run of wire the bigger the wire needed.. but yes 18 guage would work as well. if not ampes unless the HU says other wise.
