I have a 4ch amp (Ample A414X) running 4 full range speakers. I am using high level inputs to the amp. The amp is 2ohm stable. I want to install 2 10" subs.
#1- Can I hook the amp up with the front 2ch at 4ohm (full range speakers only) and the rear 2 ch at 2ohm (full range speaker + sub, with a crossover) ?
#2- Can I run my HU rear speaker wires to 2 separate amps (the 4ch that is already installed, and an additional 2ch amp) by splicing into the wires before they get to the amp, then connecting them to their respective terminals on each amp?

#1-you should be able to but check with your install manual on the amp to be sure. I had a 4 channel I ran like this for years.
#2-You should be able to do this as well. Although it might not be a bad idea to check out a line out converter.

No install manual. I bought the amp used (eBay). Ample won't sell me a manual (or any other parts) since I didn't purchase through an "authorized" dealer. Thanks for the info.
