Hey folks,
Just want to acknowledge those who have made financial contributions to the CK forum to date. We hope you are getting timely and helpful information that saves both time and money!
As you gain all this select tutoring, use it and help others by bringing them to the site for help as well. As you all know, we were all once "Newbies"too!
Some of us "core players" (Ttocs, Blitz and several others) may remember that this site closed for a time last year and recently reopened. That left a big gap for some who came to rely on the site for input and just hanging out to chat. It was primarily a financial decision as the site was growing and needed more funds to buy bandwidth and web content storage. To prevent that from happening again, a donation program was added to the new site, to help fund the cost of operations.
It takes money to run this site and Walter Hargrave does a great job managing the back room. Until recently, he has funded the site out of his own pocket. The least we can do, is to help show our appreciation by making regular donations to keep the site healthy and alive for some time to come.
We are doing our part to help all that come and am asking that those who can, help maintain this site and be a part of the growth. Just takes but a few bucks, here and there, from the many that come for advice, to keep this site going and growing. Consider this an investment... just like we do when we buy and install our own gear!
Finally, most of us can claim and have saved hundreds of dollars in install fees, finding great deals and gaining access to a large pool of know how by using this site. Would you mind showing some appreciation to the guys who make this site possible? I did.... so have several others... feels good to share... huh?

i'll donate as soon as i get money in my internet bank account...i seem to have lots of this extra stuff called "money" ever since i quit smoking 2 packs a day...haha

want to know how i really quit? I met the girl of my dreams... She wasnt like "smoking is disgusting" but just little suggestions and all that. Then all of a sudden i smoked less and less then finally i gave up. Maybe a nice cigar now and then socially. which people say is healthier. i guess.
oh and i never smoked around my puter. your computer is nothing but a huge lung. ;-)

Seriously I have known 3 people at work that have quit using some herbal thing.. They have all quit within a year and a half to a year ago, and never gone back.. Let me know if you want some info.

Eh boys i'd just like to say a few things
- Without this site i'd be in a 10 mile deep hole, titled "Car Audio"

-Without this site i probably wouldnt be alive, i wouldve tried to do something i wouldnt know how to do and shock the hell out of myself.

-Without this site i wouldve had a screwy 30 dollar sub box i almost bought on e-bay before asking the forum informing me that the box cubic feet was way off.
-In addition to that, i wouldve had the crappiest sounding system in town.

I'd just like to say that everyone here has helped me more than I could have imagined. When I first came here I almost spent $200-$300 more on products with less performance than what I have now.. and when I say less performance I mean a lot less. I can't imagine owning a car with a stock system nor can I imagine trying to build a system without the help of all that steered me in the right direction. I'm closing in on the finishing of my current system, but I'll be sure to always come back with a new question.
As for a donation. Well, I don't own any credit cards, or have paypal (I need to get with the times). I can insure you that I will donate once I do. You guys really deserve it.

Walt, Thanks for the very useful site!!!!! I have leaned many things in the short time that I've been coming here. The folks who contribute to the forums make this site one of the best on the web!!! I was lucky to have stumbled across it and am very happy I did. I had a truely crappy car stereo two months ago and now I have installed a very nice one and did it myself with the help of the forums and info from your site. Thanks again to you and all your fellow admin, forum users and general music lovers who post here. I kicked in a few bucks to help the cause.

Alot of my friends have, or will shortly, audio systems so any questions they have I can't answer, or even if I can, I'll be refering them to this site. I will "spread the word"!!!
