It's been a long time, huh.. I have the choice of purchasing a Elemental Designs Nine.1 and a Avionixx AXT 1200.2. I know that both have great reviews, but other than price differences, which one would be the obvious choice, as far as SQL amplifier?... I remember that Uchronous has the AXT 1200, but he hasnt push the amp to its limits. That was the last time I posted a question. Just wanting some feedback , Thanx Replies (4) uochronos on 02/14/2005 02:16:30 both good amps its a tough choice... i love my AXT 1200.2 though... neither amp well be better for SQL thats more of a sub and box issue... assuming the amp is pushing clean power which both well. Chronos SeJae on 02/14/2005 10:30:05 I know it's a tough choice, but are you pushing the AXT to its limits or what? Also, I was thinking of keeping it Edesigns, since I have the 16ov2. And Edesign has the 3 year transferable warranty.. uochronos on 02/14/2005 12:11:34 you shouldnt push any amp to its limits... have i turned it all the way up yes sounds about the same as when its at 600watts.... 600 and 1200 is only a 3db or so differnce. no matter which amplifier you get i dont suggest that you push it to its limits... also a 16Ov2 is only a 700watt sub woofer if you get a 1200.2 AXT then why would you push the amp to its limits? this sub shouldnt be fed more then 900watts or so. and the 1200.2 AXT cant put out near 1500watts at full power. seems to me your not going to be pushing the amp to its limits anyway. Chronos SeJae on 02/14/2005 17:18:50 Thats good to know . I know they say that you need some growing room for future upgrades so that a plus. I decided to get the AXT. And on the chart, you can push the sub to 1300 watts, but you have to know what your doing. Thanx on the insight and I've decided to go vented for the first time. I should be very pleased.
