Wiring sub help

my friend has a 04 sti and wants to put in a small sub like the kenwood woox under his passengers seat. he had a few questions about the wiring for the kenwood - "what kind of wiring does the kenwood require(rca, remote, power, and ground)?" also he has the stock HU so he doesn't have any RCAs and said he would rather not have to splice the speaker wires to hook it up because he had a bad experience with that in his truck and he wanted to know if there is any other way to hook it up. to me it sounds like there wouldn't be another way to hook it up but i thought i'd ask since theres always stuff i don't know about.

thanks

only way to hook up a amp to a stock stereo with No rca's is to splice into the speaker wires and it shouldnt cause any problem

He well need
Ground wire and Power wire ground should be no more then 3 foot of wire and power not much longer then you need.
He well need a set of RCA and line out converters(converts the speaker wires into RCA's..
and he well need a remote wire.
Also a fuse and inline fuse block for the power wire.

also dont know how much room he thinks he ahs under that seat but i highly doubt he well be able to fit any sub and box under the passenger seat... my truck has way more room under the seat then any car i have ever seen and i couldnt even fit my amp under it because the floor isnt perfectly flat. and when sliding the seat forwar or back the bars hit what ever is under there.
