Well, after debating long and hard over the Earthquake DBX12 or the Adire Shiva 12, I decided to get both. PROUD Whichever one I like best GRIN will stay in my Blazer, and the other will become the center of my home audio setup. According to the UPS site, the Earthquake just arrived at my mailbox that's at the UPS store. CLAP I'll let everyone know how it sounds after the weekend. Now as my 5 yr old daughter says: "I'm off to see the lizard, the wonderful lizard of all." Replies (5) Relax_The_Mind on 07/3/2003 15:58:47 Yes let us know... I was thinking about switching over to Adire with those specific subs... (dont think my car can handle brahmas) How much did you get the dbx12 by the way...if you dont mind me asking.. Cute kiddo... kids say the darndest things don't they? I like the looks of the Earthquake sub and depending on the enclosure and amp you choose, that DBX 12 may be very impressive as it can do 2 ohms while the Shiva is an 8 ohm DVC. The DBX may be a tad louder in midbass 50-100 Hz, range while the Shiva is more SQ oriented and will probably go lower and remain more natural sounding in the deep lows below 40 Hz. Depends on the encloure design. Do you have a website for more details on Earthquake products? By all means, let is know what you find out OK? That was a great price on the dBX-12 too... good bargain if it performs to your expectations. Swez Relax_The_Mind on 07/4/2003 04:03:18 OK fine you talked me into it. I think I am gonna be switching to Earthquakes soon... and maybe hold on to the audiobahns for safe keeping. RTM Tray on 07/7/2003 09:27:53 holy busted eardrums batman. Well, I picked up the DBX-12 from the UPS store after work on Thursday. I drove straight over to storage, and got my drill out. I put the new sub in a small sealed box that I've had my RFD2112 in, just so that I could hear my new toy. Well, I turned it on, and oh my god, I heard just about every piece of plastic begin to rattle. I got home, called and cancelled my order for the Shiva, and began working on a new box for the Earthquake. I'll update again when I get the new box done.
