ahhhh welcome to the world of hardwiring cd players.

FACTORY WIRE COLOR ====> CD PLAYER WIRE COLOR

orange =========================> yellow

yellow =========================> red

black ==========================> black

light brown ======================> white
gray ======================> white /black stripe

light green ======================> gray
green ======================> gray /black stripe

light yellow =====================> green
brown =====================> green /black stripe

blue =====================> purple
light blue =====================> purple /black stripe

that should be it. before you do speakers, power up the head unit to make sure you got the right yellow wire. the yellow wire for power will be a little darker than the other. also, make sure you don't touch any of the power wires to anything because you will blow a fuse and that is no fun.

enjoy

don't forget that there are two Grey wires on the factory side. One being the factory dimmer switch. It is important to test all wires before you hook the deck up. you can touch a AA battery between the speaker wires and you will get a small noise from the speaker that those wires belong to. Use a testlight or voltmeter to check all the wires for pwr. Test with the key off, then on, and with the lights on. You can touch a AA battery between the speaker wires and you will get a small noise from the speaker that those wires belong to.

It is recommended that to use crimp style connectors rather then twist nuts. And of course we all know tape is an insulator, not a connector....
