I wanted to know if this amp is underated. If any watts, I heard it produces 400 rms when specs say 300 rms

yes it is underated although i dont think that much so. 300 watts VS 400watts is a 33% increase in power... i would say this amp probaly produces 10-15% more then is rated.

It's under rated as the input voltage VS power is calulated at 12.9 volts for full power. If you have a typical electrical system that puts out 13.5 -14.4 volts nominal, more RMS power from the amp.
