Is anyone familiar with a 1/2 DIN enclosure that I could mount right to the floor (sort of on the hump).I don't have enough space under the dash between the steering column and the ashtray and I don't want to locate it too far away near the glove box (I'm a constant adjuster).If not I'm open to the suggestion of fabricating something.Any thoughts?

Floor mounted, dash mounted or maybe a center console mount will do fine here. The main thing is ergonomics and ease of use. Just make sure that wherever you mount it, it will not be damaged as you/passengers, move around in the car.
