Chronos, Swez says you bought a high output alternator for $230 for your system from ebay. who did you buy it from? how many amps will it produce and what kind of car is it for? i'm thinking about getting one for my car. thanks Replies (5) gearhead on 12/26/2004 22:10:05 You might want to check this place out. http://www.alternatorparts.com/ uochronos on 12/27/2004 02:17:02 yes it was a 200amp alternator off ebay got it fro 200$ plus 25$ for shipping... with a lifetime warranty... i cant recall the guys name on ebay let me do some looking and see if i can find it for you. do a search on ebay for alternators. find people selling alot of them for differnt cars. then click on find more items from this seller. chances are if they are selling tons of alternators then they can find one for you. just email them and ask tell them what car you have and how many amp alternator you need. chances are one of them can find you one for a good price. my alternator seems to put out the rated power although i havent tested them. but my system can pull 100amps the way it is currently set and then the fog lights, heater, engine, wipers, etc all on and i still have no dimming at all. so i would say its a good alternator. Chronos PS best thing to do on ebay is look at feed back. if they guy has sold 100+ alternators and has 99% good feedback then chances are he sells a good product. uochronos on 12/27/2004 16:34:08 motorcityreman is the ebay name of the guy i purchased mine from. if you dont see one for your car in his auctions simply ask him thats what i did and i had an alternator a week later. Chronos uochronos on 12/27/2004 16:42:48 i took a look as well he has alot of alternators for hondas most are 80-140amp but he has a few higher output ones so i would think from looking at it he could get a 140-160amp alternator for your car if you ask him...
