A very special Thank You to those who participated in a needy family's Christmas surprise. Jennifer and I went there yesterday to deliver food, clothing and presents to this needy family.
They live in an old trailer park, have a physically challenged son who happens to love birds. A whole flock of Cockateals (Sp?) they had. Too funny... each bird has its own unique personality... just like the family, Gary (Dad), Pam (Mom) & Doug (son). I wish you all could have been there to see the astonishment in their eyes as we unloaded all that stuff on them.
I am so proud of those who participated and also proud of those who would have, if they could have done so. Your gifts and support will not be forgotten by all involved. I was deeply touched by all the generosity and Jennifer.... she just looked at me when I handed over a stack of checks and Moneygrams for this project. She just nodded and said... "David, you have some very special friends" ! I said... "Yes, I know that now Jennifer... more than ever before".
