Hey guys. Ive been playing poker online for a while now on pacific poker, and recently got an email saying for every new member that i get to sign up, i get $50 and they get $25, all they have to do is deposit $20. I figured if anyone was interested in joining, now is the time, and they can do us both a favor by saying i refered them. if anyones interested, shoot me an email at mikeyd2486@hotmail.com. I hope no one takes this the wrong way, im not trying to abuse this forum for personal interests, just figured if everyone can make a buck, why not? Buickman94 on 12/22/2004 03:20:35 Not a bad idea to throw some of that money into the donation jar, problem is, before being able to cash out the $50, i need to play with 20x that amount in actual games. Still i should toss some loot into the site, its been over a year since ive donated... COFFEE Victor.. ttocs on 12/22/2004 13:46:26 is anyone else sick of poker, without having played it? My room mate is a big poker player and will watch it no matter who is playing. I don't understand the enjoyment of watching it on tv, especially now that they have the celebrity stuff on? Why would anyone want to watch a bunch of amatures play anything on tv? I don't see the celebrity ping pong matches going far on cable but I think I would rather watch that. At least there would be the possability of a good slam, er maybe even an unjury form a roge ping pong ball..... uochronos on 12/22/2004 14:05:13 LOL i couldnt agree more. i like playing poker ocasionaly but this american obsesion with it all of a sudden is getting under my skin hehe. every saturday my dad watches at least 3 hours of it. then you goto any store and they sell chips or tables lol... hell i was at the mall kitchen kaboodle which has nothing to do with anything other then kitchen needs. now sells poker chips lol... really i think its getting a bit outa hand lol. Chronos PS celebrity ping pong would defiantly be interesting.... maybe wieght the balls a bit "high speed ping pong" perhaps... or have the table spin very slowly so they keep having to move and readjust... of course there would need to be angry fans cheering and booing:) MrBrownstone on 12/22/2004 20:33:04 watching poker is a lot like chess...most of the drama is internal to the player, and rarely something anyone else would appreciate. The invention (or rather the use) of lipstick sized cameras showing the players cards adds to the dramatic irony. Like a movie, when the viewer, or one of the characters knows all the information, it adds drama to the experience. When you know someone is about to be pounced on by the villian in scream, you get a little pleasure out of it. Same with Poker. Watching Chess...unless you have a multiplayer game, is boring enough to play, but very challenging and gratifying to win. Personally, Poker on TV is today like Pro Wrestling was in 1992...It was booming into the mainstream. What drives it is that you don't need to be an athlete to play it, can use people skills, and can apply a great deal of financial pressure on people that you normally wouldn't have the ability in real life. Tournies on TV are merely entertainment. Unless you have an intermediate knowledge of the game and enjoy playing, it's a worthless experience. Just like Golf, Nascar, Bowling, Poker, Womens anything.....not much fun watching, but fun to play. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
