i hav a pioneer deck and a boss 1000 watt amp the deck has two female rca outputs and the amp has 4 female rca inputs. do get 2 y slitter cables or do i use the other wires from the back of the deck to hook up the deck to the amp

by the other wires do you mean the speaker wires?? if so, it would probably be easier to just use y-splitters. you can either split the two behind the deck into four and run two sets of RCA's, or split the 4 off of the amp into 2 and run one set. with a boss amp, i'm pretty sure you'd get close to the same results. the only problem you will have if balance and fading controls from the deck will be kind of funky.
are you sure the amp as four rca inputs and not two inputs and two outputs?? what's the model number??

yeah im sure the amp has front left and right inputs and rear left and right inputs the model number is BA-2900
