its a good start, but there are some that need some tweeking. I replied to your message victor.

Listen to ttocs comments... we are not done yet and right now, we are so wrapped up in the big picture, we will have to step back and review the details before we launch these into the site.

The main goal is to make wiring DVC's as simple as possible for our readers.

Just because we have medals, does not mean we don't make mistakes. Nobody's perfect.... and besides, we all need a 2nd chance once in a while, just to prove to ourselves that we can and will miss the mark at times.

When taking on large projects like this, we have to take our time, be deliberate and crosscheck the work being done before launching the program. If you don't think it happens in large companies, look at MS version 2000 ME. What a mess that was to clean up. But, it finally lead to a very good product... Win XP!

Another example here in the news of late, is a recall of up to 60,000 Dodge vehicles for manufacturing/design problems. This will cost the Daimler/Chrysler big time. (averaging $1,000/vehicle to repair) Why? A poorly designed upper ball joint can break and the wheel can come loose from the suspension system and cause the vehicle to go out of control. Read it for yourself:

durango-dakota-recall_x.htm

So, let's put things in perspective OK? All is not lost, you are not a dummy. Nobody was hurt by this one.... get over it please .

from what I read, chrysler didn't seem to think the wheels falling off was a safety problem.....

"The older i get the more i realize that i'am falible" -Ben Franklin.... we all are just usualy the younger we are the less we like to admit to it:)

History Channel watcher are we?

Swez

uochronos on 12/14/2004 02:31:32
The Learning Channel(TLC) actualy lol... but ya i watch Discovery, TLC, the history channel, and The travel channel almost all the time.. even if i'm not watching its on usualy... i find i absorb alot of knowledge that way... infact those chanells are the onyl reason i pay the outragous cable fees that are about these days..

swez on 12/14/2004 03:27:11
I hear that... we just switched cable providers a few months back. Got all the same features and added Internet cable too. Paying less then the previous cable provider, even with Internet cable added by some $25.00 a month.

Shop em hard boys... the cable companies are getting more competitive, as more companies jump on the bandwagon.

Oh, on that Dodge recall... "the wheels don't fall off" per-se... but if the ball joint lets go, the truck looses steering control and often leads to a crash. Nobody has been killed to date... but it's just a matter of time. Another fine example of media mis-information. (Sensationalism and bad news sells well on primetime news and newspapers)

wow consider yourself lucky there swez... we only have comcast in my area unless you want to go sataltie(whick i may) but i pay over 120$ for internet and basic cable.... its ridicoulous.. 55$ of that is the internet... and thats with a 10$ discount on the internet because i have cable tv as well lol... i wish we had some cable compitition.

swez on 12/15/2004 04:29:48
Yeah, we had Comcast for a few years and kept watching the rates climb to almost $80.00/mo. for basic cable. Started poking around and switched to WOW. Now, we pay ~$50.00/mo., with cable internet included in the package.

FYI: Shop your auto and home insurance rates every year or two as well. If you stay with the same company for maore than a few years and rates climb (even w/o any claims of tickets) it's time to shop around.

Here in MI, we are getting raped by insurance companies. Not the companies themselves as much, but MI taxes and add on liability fees. When I returned to MI, 7 years ago, my full coverage was about $650.00/yr. for full coverage. Now, for PL/PD & Comp, it's closer to $1200.00/yr. That's almost more than my car is worth! I have no tickets or accidents in over 10 years. (MI is a "yo fault" policy state)

I think it's time to get outta Dodge Town!
