Need total help with system in 1983 320i Oh wait I have no system lol that is so funny. But on the flip side I need a system. You can read everything about me and my car here (My Car Info) I have these speakers in the front and back stock places (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Pioneer-4--x-6--Speakers--TSG4640R-/sem/rpsm/oid/87644/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do) I have this stereo (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Sony-In-Dash-CD-Player--CDX-F5700-/sem/rpsm/oid/87524/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do) I have a debadged trunk. Now I need boom I mean not the boom you hear across the street, talking about across the block. I am talking about the boom boom (to play atleast some white tees or drop it like its hot). I need everyones ideas to make this happen price is prob $500-$1500 if that is good. I know I should read and learn bla bla bla, dont have time so please just help me! Just like going to somewhere and them putting it in for high price, but just asking you guys. So just give me all your ideas and let me know thanks much Replies (4) alanjlamore on 12/10/2004 20:48:58 With that price range you should be able to get an AWESOME system, if you plan on installing it your self. You came to the right place. These guys here find the best quality/best value equipment and can help you install it step by step. One thing you might need to do if you plan on using a whole lot of power is to upgrade your electricals with a high CCA batterie and an aftermarket alternator, along with some new wiring for your batteries and grounding. It looks intimidating, but after paying listening to the golds on this site it's not nearly as bad as it might seem. You can still get a very loud system without the vehicle's electrical upgrade, but you're limited to the amount of extra amps your car has for your sterio. That can all be explained by people who know more on the subject than me. swez on 12/11/2004 02:07:08 Do I read this correctly? You want us to design a system for you that will be totally "the schnitz", but all you want is to "grab" our knowledge and run with it, but very little research on your part? This is a community of committed people. We help each other... it's a mutual thing. Care to change the tone of the request? It reads very uhmmmm, errrr, self-serving? Also, to get decent sound from the front stage of the system, we are looking at different speakers and additional amp power. 50-100 Wrms per side. What you have now, is way short on both. Swez PS The HU is a good start... but there's so much more. Why not go to CC and have them design a system for you? Seem to like what they are pushing. Victor on 12/11/2004 05:16:49 LOL..... swez... cool down dude... well the post hit me too.. hence i decided to keep a low profile and not reply to the post.. Its better to ignore such posts then express the anger.. Anyways.. lets atleast give him a chance to explain and correct .. and lets treat him like one of the knowledge ignorant customers who has come to us for installs.. dont we all get them day in and day out.. lets be patient and help him make his system.. comments...?? Victor... swez on 12/11/2004 10:03:41 Yeah... you are right Vic and I edited things to tone down my inner child which was really MAD. Guess I needed the sleep, more than I thought huh? Think I'll just pass on answering more on this one. Just the best way to keep my peace about it. Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
