I have a sony head unit it has 2 audio outs and one bus audio in. I have heard that they only work for sony cd changers, but I have also heard that with an adapter tehy will work for anything. Wil someone clear this up for me.

Which Sony model # is that? It's possible that INput can be used for other than a CD Changer. Depends on a few variables we may be able to determine from Tech Specs off that model.
