Can anyone possilbly help me to find a JBL BP600.1 amp. I really want one. If anyone find please let me know and put link here. Thank You USFLAG Replies (12) swez on 12/2/2004 20:02:59 Think outside the box... try 2 JBL 300.1 refurbs. $129.00/ea. http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLBP3001Z Swez 2fastxd on 12/3/2004 16:13:21 would this be hard to hook up and will it be better for my neons electricals, does this run 300 @ 2ohms? thx swez on 12/3/2004 16:43:16 Should not be too hard to wire in a pair of sub amps. Yes, you will get 300 + Wrms of power to each sub and the pair will comsume the same power as a single 600.1 amp. (under 55A of current at full output) The only tricky part to this idea, is that you will need two "Y" splitters (one female, 2 male RCA's) off the F-Mods, to feed both amps the same signals. May have to make your own cables here too as they need to be long enough to reach both amps. Finally, will need a #4 power line feed from the BAT and a D-block that has one #4 input and at least two #8 outputs. Each amp will need a #8 ground as well. Can you see how this all fits? Swez 2fastxd on 12/3/2004 17:42:30 I dont understand what you said about the RCA,s , i know wut a Y cable is swez on 12/3/2004 23:57:44 A "Y" cable is a single input, dual output RCA patch cable. Like this one: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KAR-1F2M Swez 2fastxd on 12/4/2004 00:09:15 I know what it is, but i dont understand what you said on how to hook both amps up with rcas and ssfilter thx USFLAG swez on 12/4/2004 09:28:00 Here's a flow chart: 1. HU RCA's (L&R) to F-Mod inputs (1 pair) 2. F-Mod outputs to female "Y" splitters 3. L&R splitters to each amp input RCA (male) Each amp will now have a L&R channel input and the amp automatically sums L+R channels to creat a MONO output from each amp. If your HU has a pair of sub outputs, GREAT! If not, use the rear channel RCA's off the HU to feed the F-Mods to sub amps. This way, you can control the output signals from HU to amps via fade control feature in the HU. Does that make sense? Swez 2fastxd on 12/4/2004 09:50:34 ok, i have a hu that has 4 rca plugs. front (L,R) outputs and rear (L,R) outputs. And 1 subout, now each amp has 4 inputs as well swez on 12/5/2004 12:25:51 Yes, each amp has 4 input RCA's, but each amp only needs 2 Rear channel RCA's (L&R channels) to function properly. (per amp) JBL BP series amps will sum any channels off the input stage to A+B and convert to a MONO output signal. Since your HU has only 1 sub out channel, (RCA line MONO) a slight modification in the wiring method suggested will get the job done. Here's how to do it: 1. Sub out RCA off HU to a "Y" splitter (one female to 2 males) 2. Each male end of this splitter will feed the pair of F-Mods (male sub feed to each female on F-Mods) 3. Use 2 more pair of "Y" splitters (1 pair per F-Mod) to feed each amp used. (one left ch to each amp input, one right channel to each amp input. The amps will automatically sum the input signals they get to form a MONO signal to subs. Thanks for clarifying your HU has only one sub out channel. Does this make sense to you now? Also, do you know what the sub out voltage is from the HU? Swez 2fastxd on 12/5/2004 12:38:22 all it says it that it has a subwoofer out and it has a 5volt preamp out Thx 2fastxd on 12/5/2004 12:52:51 one y spliteer goes into the rear L and R amp1, and the other y spliter goes into rear L R amp 2 swez on 12/6/2004 07:36:54 If you pass me your e-mail, I can send you a diagram on how to do this correctly.
