Box dimensions

First off... heres my sub:
http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/item_info?p_item_name=SWR-1241D&p_category=70&p_subcategory=150&p_main=10&p_more=y

Heres the site that I used to get my results:
http://www.diysubwoofers.org/sld/sealed1.htm

For Vb I got 35.15 litres (1.24 cu. ft.)

Fb I got 45.584hz

I couldn't get dBpeak or F3 because I don't have a scientific calculator with me... and I don't know the old fashioned way of doing decimals in scientific notation.

What are the dimensions of my box going to be?

Is the information that I got correct? The Alpine site recommends 0.7 to 1.0 cu. ft. for the box... which is why I posted this.

Alpine SWR-1241d is designed for compact sub enclosures. The smaller the box, the weaker the low end bass will be. The larger the box, the better low end bass extension will be, but power handling will drop as X-max is reached sooner.

When I see a range like the one noted by Alpine, I shoot for the middle of that spec. (say 0.85 cf) Don't forget to include the sub displacement in your box calculations. (0.128 cf) Your net internal volume will be 0.98cf in all. (rounded off, we get 1.0 cf in all)

There's a nice calulator feature on this link to help you determine the general dimensions of the enclosure. Just make sure you account for the OD of the sub. Something like a "H" and "W" of 15" or more will give you adequate sub mounting room.

A 15 x15 x11 external will net 1.002 cf internal, when using 3/4" MDF.

Have fun,
