Mono or 2 channel

Im taking back my 4 channel. That was a mistake. Now I have 2 possible replacements when i exchange the amp. a Rockford Fosgate 501x amp 2 channel pushing 1500 watts, or a Kenwood Mono amp pushing 1000 watts.

Would the 1000 watt mono or 1500 watt 2 channel bridged be better. The rms is 400 for the kenwood and 500 for the rockford. Which would be the best for a combo of sound quality and power, not just power.

Also, any ideas on how to make my 15 inch comp vr sound better in a 2 door sunbird. Trunk or Backseat ? I need serious help fellas, im a rookie.

This 15" Comp VR, what voice coil set is used in this model ? It comes in 2 configurations.... 1/2/4 and 2/4/8 ogm DVC's. Both are rated for 500 watts RMS input power.

Here's a spec sheet for Kicker Comp VR's: http://www.kicker.com/ShowPage.cfm?filename=compvrsub.html&menu=SUBWOOFERS

As for maximum bass output, the right box design and having adequate power for the sub are the 2 keys to top performance.

Depending on the sub configuration you have now... that 501x is a 4 channel amp which can be bridged to a 2 channel amp and nets 250 watts per channel at 4 ohms per channel. Not the best choice for a sub amp. These are generally used for interior speakers.

That Kenwood might be a good option, depending on the sub cofiguration you have. (1/2/4 or 2/4/8 ohm version) Got a product model # or web link for that Kenwood amp?
