Hey... I have been noticing this since quite a time now... Every member who puts up a post here expects good advice and guidance from all of us on the forum... And most of the times we are successfull in fulfilling their expectations.. Most of the guys who post here are very polite and thankful for our help.. but one thing which everyone misses on is Notifying when the post shud end.. Many a times we reply to a problem which is already sorted out.. which no more need and attention.. This I feel is a waste of time and energy, In the process of doing this we sometimes miss on posts which need urgent attention.. So i request all of you who post out here.. to Reply positively as soon as they sort out the problem.. So that we can concentrate on other posts as well..Please write a short note If visiting CK has actually helped you solved the problem and confirming the end of that particular post.. Thanks in advance,,, Need your views and acknowledgement of having read this particular post.. If u dont wite a detailed reply to this one its ok.. but please take notice of this effort of saving expertise and reply with a small " yes" atleast.. Thanks again comments...?? Victor Replies (3) P0werLifter on 11/23/2004 17:51:57 In my own opinion, Its up to the poster of the topic on when he/she would like to end. Some of us like to chat, and keep talking to other people on the board. This forum is not strickly for help purposes. Others like myself, enjoy making friends, learning, helping others, and chatting/ making jokes. If you feel the topic at hand of a certain post has been resolved, then theres no need for you to go back , on the other hand, others prefer to chat it up a little bit and inquire about other issues they feel need to be resolved. No need to post tons and tons of topics when you have Golds, and others reading the same post, that they have just added onto. There is no need for anyone here to reply to this post as far as a yes or no answer if they understand. Once again, this forum is not JUST for issues at hand. Im sure many otheres here feel the same way, Regards PL Victor on 11/23/2004 17:54:45 Agreed...Forget it... Please delete this post.. as i cant .. cause i am running on a fake ip.. thanks.. sorry for the post..( just felt the need of it) Victor.. swez on 11/23/2004 18:53:24 See your point. Just not sure it really is an issue that will catch on. Most guys do a pretty good job on their feedback after all the Q&A sessions are completed. Some even say the thread is completed... until someone else has a similar condition. Then it re-opens again. Things are pretty good as is, I believe. If we need tools, Walt does a great job in supplying them. If we need feedback on something, just ask. Most will do that when we do. What is most important, it that we remain consistant with our own practices here. This forum has very few rules or edicts to follow. We try to let others be themselves. As long as common web etiquette is followed, I see no need to change a program that is already a supurb model of a successful forum... openess in dealing with issues and requests, letting others make mistakes... but having the opportunity to work it out and treating other the way we desire to be treated. Let's keep this dialogue going and maybe we'll get some great ideas from others who use the board for help. Afterall, that is our goal here... to provide excellent information to those who ask for help. What say others? Swez Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
