I wanted to know if you guys or walt could make a page with diagrams on subwoofer setup and ohmag. I and alot of people go to other sites but if this site had one. We wouldnt need to move. Just an Idea 2Fastxd IDEA Replies (8) admin on 11/21/2004 08:43:33 If someone can make a unique version of one, I will gladly make a page and psot it. swez on 11/21/2004 09:02:24 Walt, Can we just grab a few links from a web site and have it edited to fit this need instead of creating a diagram from scratch? =Diagrams at RF, JL and other sites are already out there.... can we just copy and post a ref line where it came from? Swez admin on 11/21/2004 09:20:52 Thats the problem. If it's not unique to ClubKnowledge then there is a copyright issue. Some server setups actualy block this type of activity, some didn't know how to make it work but don't want to host images for everyone in the world to use. I'm not trying to be mean but its from the webmasters point of view. Now if you get written permssion from the content onwer, then we can post with permission at the bottom of the pages.. admin on 11/21/2004 09:24:30 I get article submissions all the time with copy and pasted content but cant add it for the same reasons. All copy and pasted content from other sites truley need written permission for use. swez on 11/21/2004 09:58:37 Understood... thanks for the FYI. 2 Fast, Do you have PowerPoint or another drawing tool at hand? If yes, why not make your own drawings and submit them to Walt for board use. Can just print out what you see on other web sites and draw them out on PPT file. This makes it "unique" and original material. Speaker wiring diagrams are not difficult to do... just very time consuming. To my knowledge, the wiring diagrams are not patented, so we can make our own. Just cannot copy/paste another sites artwork and call it our own. Is that sufficient Walt? Swez Victor on 11/21/2004 10:27:17 hmmmm.. a nice idea indeed... I can be of some help here... i wont be able to provide diagrams with exact measurements which match different subs... but instead what i can do is .. make basic level diagrams of each type of enclosure... some variants.. and some tips for each of them... and to add to this was just wondering if we cud post a link to enclosure calculators available on other sites.. that way there shall be the diagrams+measurements.. i think this shud do the trik for all u box builders out there.. regarding the wiring diagrams i think what swez suggested is a nice way out.. comments...?? Victor... swez on 11/21/2004 10:38:54 I have made diagrams for other clients before and they can be very time consuming. I do find .PPT is a very easy format and pretty accurate if we needed to scale a drawing as well. (like a sub enclosure) I am willing to do an "original" diagram for say a common 2 sub DVC application to be used as a template. Others may follow suit and add to the diagram base if they so desire. Walt, Can we add a separate link under the DIY header of topics and call it "Subwoofer wiring diagrams" ? Swez 2fastxd on 11/21/2004 13:28:31 I will sertainly try to make one, I dont know how long it will take me so I will need to do it on my spare time casue of work. I will let walt know about my final.
