I'm new to this site and like some of the ideas I've read. Here's an idea that might be able to generate some money to keep the site going. Maybe allow members to put odds and ends things. I.E.- I'm sure that many of us have been victims of break-ins. And sometimes some idiot has taken our deck even though the face was off. Or maybe you lose your faceplae and it costs alot of money to get a replacement. Maybe for a small advertising fee. people could sell their odds and ends to someone looking. Because I know for myself I like some of the older models. I would love it if I could go to the site and look for an old Pioneer O.D.R set up. Or the wiring harness for my old Audio Control EQT, etc... It would be like a garage sale for Car Audio. It's just a thought that might work for people looking for something that somebody else might have sitting in a junk pile.

this would cost alot of mony to implement in the long run... prolly take more web site space. then it would also cost money if things where disputed or cheated etc. not to mention walt the Admin and creater of this site would be the one having to all do the work to implement this..
also many things like harnesses etc for old things like Audio control harness the company well send for free,.... audio control just sent me one no cost actualy hehe.
this is a good idea just not real easy to implement. not to mention i belive if walt started doing this there would be issues of buisness licenses etc.
also all the golds and others here donate there time and skills. really the only over head is the cost of the web space... so making money is not really the main goal of this site.
i by no means speak for everyone and walt may like this idea but i can forsee alot of problems,

Interesting idea... garage sale for used or unused audio gear with a small % of the selling price going to the site donation box. Hummm, am sure most of the core campers here, are pretty honest and would not sell a D.O.A. item w/o saying it is DOA.
I am not concerned about our core players doing this... but we do get some riff-raff at times and have little control over them other than to block them out. It only takes one bad apple to ruin a whole bushel.
Let's see what others have to say on the matter. Am not really for or against the plan, if we can manage it fairly. Quality transactions are common among friends and associates. The last thing this sites needs, is a reputation for selling stuff that rips others off.
What say the rest of you folks?

A good idea in fundamentals.. but wud be a lot of work for walt. very tricky too..
and a tough job if a bunch of those insensitive dumb asses dont understand the real spirit of this site.. cud be a whole lot of new problems for all of us if not monitored properly..
