i want to run my stereo out of my car in my neighbors garage, its going to be a while till i get my car fixed and we are buidling a little reck room. i need to know what to use for power. i will be only runnin one kx600.1 and some other type of 4 channel amp to run the speaks, and a pioneer deh7200 cd player. will i be able to use a battery for this? just use a trickle chagre every once and a while? or will something like this work http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34287&item=2420806825 i read the article and am kind of confused. as for ground do i just use the battery ground? and also i have a power cap, will i need to use that or not? i want to build a wall like at car audio shops and then just place my 2 compvr 15s on the floor in front of the wall. if that is not the right type of conveter, can you give me a like to one that is right, i need to see what it looks like because i have no clue. thanx again guys, you have all helped out alot Replies (2) av601 on 06/28/2003 03:56:25 i would say u would need 2 use a battery ground cuz rather than that... how would u b able 2 have power goin thru it?? Swez on 06/28/2003 07:15:36 Consider using a pair of deep cycle batteries in parallel and have a charger handy as well, to charge them back up over night. A lot cheaper than the convertor and more watts available too. Also, consider using only 1 sub/ amp for this application as you are sure to make enemies with the neighbors with that much bass power, if you run the pair. Have you also considered security issues here? If that room in not a secured, lock down & hard to get into place, you will be inviting Mr. Light Fingers and his buddies to help remove your precious toys.
