Thanks! 2fastxd on 11/14/2004 13:11:55 No Problem uochronos on 11/14/2004 14:23:05 daniel be carefull here adding another sub is not going to get you louder.. 800watts is 800watts if its pushing 3 subs or 2 subs. you may gain a couple DB but getting 2 better subs instead of 3 cheaper subs is not going to net better performance really. maybe even worse. also wired at 1.33 ohm you well be losing a little be of power.... with the JBL BP series 2fast is not loseing any power because his amp is the same power at 1 or 2 ohm.... most amps that are 1ohm stable are a huge differnce between 1 and 2 ohm... for instance say a amp is stable at 1ohm and is 800watts rms at 1ohm... that amp would probaly only put out 400watts rms at 2 ohm... so running the amp at 1.33ohm would loose you around 133watts rms of power. unless you have an amp that put out the same power at both 1 and 2 ohm.. comments? Chronos swez on 11/14/2004 14:35:59 Don't even go there... to get close to the right load (2 ohms) you'd need 3 x 8 ohm speakers. That nets a 2.66 ohm load. (~233 RMS per sub). Not much better off than where your are now... 200 RMS per sub. Swez danielm87 on 11/14/2004 16:53:38 Yes i figured adding another wouldnt help too much. : / Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
