I'm trying to find an amp that is good for a Rockford Fostage P212S4 (200W RMS 400W Peak, 4ohms) So far, only thing i've found that is good is the Directed 350d amp... is there any other amp that would be good... i'm looking for something that is good and is less than $200 any suggestions? Replies (7) danielm87 on 11/11/2004 20:59:41 E-bay will have the best selection. A Profile amp would be great for your sub. They're cheap, reliable, powerful, and worth every penny. They'll have lots of selection and you'll more than likely find an amp you like for your sub. Assuming you want a mono channel amp, heres some suggestions. - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18797&item=5731178004&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW That one would do great for your sub, and don't ya just love the price?! @ 4 ohms this little amp will give 100% of your subs RMS rating, and a similair hot-shot brand would be much more expensive, and Profiles are reliable too, very great amps for small low end subs. sounds on 11/11/2004 21:47:37 i've had bad experience with profile amps in the past.... and i've had some friends who had problems as well.... maybe it was just an older model? UKinstaller on 11/11/2004 21:59:19 yeah me personally i think profile is a pretty garbage brand for the most part. i tend to stay away from it, especially from the internet because if it blows, you are screwed. at least if you got it from a store you might get some service or something. maybe check out an alpine amp or something like that?? also, does have you checked to see if rockford makes a 200w rms amp?? if so, you can match em up nice and have a RF combo. -UK danielm87 on 11/11/2004 22:08:06 Eh boys i sorta agree, Profile aint the best thing out there, but it would be the next best thing to paying 150+ bucks for a little 200RMS amp. I personally havent had any problems with them, older models, yes, they sucked big time. An RF combo would be cool, but i apologize and no offense to sounds but a cheap sub might need a cheap amp to go with it. RF amps aren't cheap. Your sub will hit hard enough - dont get me wrong. : ) Just trying to help! danielm87 on 11/11/2004 22:17:57 RF amps possible - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64572&item=5730961954&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64572&item=5731535008&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64572&item=5731188681&rd=1 Victor on 11/11/2004 23:10:41 Forget all those.. not discouraging you daniel .. those are good ones too.. but here's one which is really really good.. and i bet no one on this forum wud disagree with me,, http://www.epinions.com/pr-JBL_GTO_301_1_Car_Audio_Amplifier/display_~full_specs and if u are looking to upgrade ur subs someday and wanna buy a more powerful amp the go for this one.. http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLBP6001Z its factory renewed by JBL.. no issues at all.. carries 1yr warranty.. many golds on the forum have used a factory renewed JBL and all are very happy and satisfied with their performance.. its a power house for your subs.. comments...??
