hmm.. lemme not comment on your subs and get right to the point..

a few things u shud keep in mind before inverting the subs.. ( i know y u wanna do it..lol.. show off those flames on the audiobahn..hehe).. anyways..

PRO'S.
you can show off
minor volume increase due to sub displacement..(not much of a benifit though)

CON'S
u put your sub at the rishk of physical damage and the magnet shall attract all kinds of metal towards it..
there will be a phase shift of 180`as the sound shall come from the rear of the cone.. so the bass will sound out of place.. (this can be solved by inverting the positive and the negative connectors to the sub)

TIP:- usually we do not encourage this kind of installation as there is a lot of possibility of damaging your sub.. with no noticable benifit other than show off.. its very much upto you if u can afford to put your expensive subs at a risk.. if its fine with u its fine with us..

you can just get one of those cool looking clear boxes. get the best of both worlds, mount the sub correctly and see the flames on the bahn.

why are you replacing that type-s with an audiobahn??

yea i'm not big on the audio bahns my self, it's more a cosmetic thing than anything. i'm thinking it would be a better idea not to ruin my sub and just do a plexi front with a mirror inside of the box. just to double check 3/4 mdf and 1/2 inch plexi. thanks for the help.

yeah.. use good amount of glue and pre drill the screw holes..brace the box properly.. ensure that there is not even the smallest of cracks for the air to escape..

u going on the right track..

best of luck ..

use silicone to seal the inside of the box before putting the last piece on.
