Hey guys,,, i think LC1 and I have finally brought Faded to the ground reality... We have suggested him the JBL600.1 for a price of $159+shipping...He's gonna just buy the amp for now and shall save some more and buy a sub later..

He wanted to see what other members have got to say about this.. all of you please dont forget to reply to this post.. specially all the golds.. please.. an unbiased review is needed ( i know its always there.. but yet.. Faded shud not think that i am influencing others reviews)

Thanks (on behalf of Faded),..lol

Good solid amp choice here. Should work fine with a stock charging system and provide plenty of bump for him to enjoy. Next idea is to save up enough money for a good sub(s) to run with the amp.

again, good choice to upgrade the amplifier b4 the subs.

Great amp from what I've heard on this site for a looooong time.

I'm getting this amp very soon for my Infinity subs (2 4ohm SVC, 350W rms ea.)

I can't wait to get this amp!!

Solid power amp. No frills, not too many extra features, (just LP crossover, gain and Bass boost) but a very solid amp by a very well known Big hitter in car & Pro audio gear.

FYI: If Faded elects to use a ported enclosure, an outboard SS filter is recommended. This amp does not have that feature.

so would it change anybody's mind if he had 2, 4 ohm DVC's?

That was my only problem. I think I would recommend a 2 channel, 2 ohm stable amp and wire them for 2 ohm stereo mode..........

This amp is 1 & 2 ohms stable. So, a pair of 4 ohm DVC's in full parallel is 1 ohm. No problem here with the 600.1 amp.

The one I found was from cardomain.com and I think it was refurbished (it's a BP600.1z) by JBL, but it still has a warantee.

The guy at my local audio shop told me that factory refurbished things cant be trusted so i dunno
they could just all of a sudden quit after a couple days and if they have just the slightest scratch on them they cant give you your money back or get another amp so...im kinda worried about this amp

From car domain: "This is a factory renewed amplifier from JBL. Tested and certified by JBL, this amplifier is in like-new condition, includes all original accessories (except for birth sheet), and features a full 1-year factory warranty."

I don't think you'd have to worry with a 1 year waranty, plus JBL is the company that renewed it, not a third party.

I completely understand what you mean by not trusting a refurb, I don't either (I never trust ebay refurbished items, no matter how good a review the seller has).

The reasons I'm getting this one is mainly because they offer the warranty and the fact that JBL tested and certified it.

Of course it's completely up to you. It's understandable if you want a brand new amp...

Uhmmm, I bought a refurb JBL 4 years ago and it has worked flawless from day one. The price was 1/3rd of a new one at that time and I know and trust JBL/Crown/Infinity. (Harman Intl. products in general)

So, that's all I have to offer on this topic.... nothing wrong with a deep discounted refurb.

I have bought referbs as well and had no issues. They recondition them to original factory standards, just like new........
