Do the Kole audio Hyper Bass series live up to there name (how is it hyper bass?) or is it just a name for the amp? Replies (1) swez on 11/6/2004 10:00:41 None of us have reported in on Kole amps of late. I see them out there and they have good brand recognition too. They are part of SPL Electronics, Inc. http://www.koleaudio.com/index2.html The specs and features seem to be up to par on published data I have read.... but not having heard them... I cannot give you a qualified/quantified opinion on them. The Digital Class D amps are very potent players and can do 1 ohm loads as well. Good features, plenty of power (1800/2300) RMS respectively @ 1 ohm loads. Very low THD numbers, very useful features and resonably priced. Common Features For Class D • Hi Speed Digital Circuitry • Fully Regulated PWM Power Supply • Four Way Protection Circuit • 1 Ohm Stable Mono *** • Bridging Synchronization • Variable Low Pass 50Hz-150Hz *** • Variable Subsonic Filter 15Hz-40hz *** • Variable Subwoofer EQ @ 45Hz • Phase Switch 0-180 *** • Remote Dash Mount Low Level Gain *** • Control With Cable • Frequency Response: 15Hz to 150hz • S/N Ratio: 100 db • THD: 0.5% *** • System Distress Indicator • Inputs Sensitivity: 200mv-8v *** • Dual Mono Speaker Output Connectors • Gold Plated Heavy Duty Power & Speaker Terminals That's what the specs say.
