Wiring kits - what's in them?

What is generally in wiring kits? CPL Kittle is making me one from spools at the shop he works at since the 4 ga. Stinger Pro one that they sell is retailing for $90 or so.

Would a cheap-o $30 wiring kit work just as well as the stinger one?

What about RCA's? It's for a 700w class AB amp running a 12" type-r at 2 ohms.

wiring kit is in general power wire, ground wire, rca's, remote wire and sometimes speaker wires.... oh also the inline fuse for by the battery.

rcas al do the same thing the differnce is betters ones are shielded better meaning no interferance gets threw.

i well use the same anaolagy for you i used yesterday would you buy a ferrari and then put the cheapest oil you could find in the engine? no of course not... same thing for an amp no need to buy a 100$+ kit. but buy decent gear. In general you get what you pay for dont go on ebay and buy like a 6$ kit. however makeing one from spools like CP kittle is works great i made my last one like that. went down to a local shop and just bought wire off a spool.

Yeah I figured I'd get an answer something like that...

What's the big deal about the Stinger dream and expert series interconnects? Is it really THAT big of a difference?

Thanks again

they use a better high current cable and have some snake oil in them as well. Don't go stupid cheap and don't go stupid expensive and all will be fine.

stinger maeks some good stuff but i wouldnt buy it unless i had money to burn. higher grade power/ground wires have less chance of coroding, bend easier withrout breaking, and carry current more efficiently.

better quality interconnects block out interferance better. would i pay 90$ for a set of RCA's no but i wouldnt spend 5$ either... if you have interferance bad in your system though then spending more on interconnects may fix the problem.. personaly i buy shielded RCA's from radio shack around 12$ for a set and i have always been good. howveer if i had some bad interferanmce related to the RCA's i would buy some nicer ones.
